More than 39 million travelers visit the Granite State every year, generating approximately $5.5 billion in spending. Tourism has long been New Hampshire's second largest industry, employing 68,000 and generating $315 million in Rooms and Meals Tax revenue annually.
The New Hampshire Travel Council was formed in 1974 to help protect the interests of the visitor industry in New Hampshire. In addition to advocacy, the Travel Council focuses on communication and education.
